Vivo Y55S Reviews, Price & Specification

Vivo Y 55 S  smartphone, launched last year, the  top 55 L  is an upgraded variant of. The cost of the new variant is the same as the previous smartphone. And the new feature of the new Wi-55S is that it has 3GB of RAM. It is shown in golden letters on the box.

We have  reviewed the  price of  Shoomi Redmi Note 4  (review),  Honor 6X  and  Moto G4 Plus  ( review ). Speaking of specification, the Vivo Y55 S gets frustrating compared to these three smartphones. Let’s learn in the review

Equipped with a simple candy design with the 2.5 De Curved edge-glass on  Vivo Y55S design and texture  Y55S Front. The phone has a soft gold finish on the rear. This phone looks like an iPhone, which is not new to Chinese manufacturers. The thickness of the phone is 7.5 mm and weighing 147.9 grams. The small size of the phone makes it easy to hold in hand and all the buttons are also accessible. The headphone jack has a different MicroSD card slot in the phone. This phone comes with dual-sim support. The phone is rear metal, while it is made of plastic.

The 5.2-inch HD display comes with a good high pixel density,  By which icons and text are visible.  Color reproduction is good and we have no problem using the phone in the viewing angle or sunlight.  Y-55S comes with a screen protector in advance.

The capacities navigation buttons in the phone are not backbit and neither notifications are LED in the phone. But you can use the rear LED flash for incoming calls, messages and reminders on screen off. It is disappointing not to have a fingerprint sensor in the phone.

Overall, we do not complain much of the phone’s design and design, but we did not attract it. The design of the phone is not new. Vivo has given a standard 5-watt power adapter, a data cable, a headset, a silicon case and a sim ejector tool in the phone.

Vivo Y 55 S specifications and features

of this smartphone is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor 1.4 runs on gigahertz in. Looking at the octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor given in Y-55L, a strange choice can be said. The phone has 3 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, which can be increased to 256 GB via micro SD card.

Phone Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b / g / n, 4G VoLTE, USB OTG, FM radio and features such as GPS. There is also a virtual gyroscope in the phone with standard sensor.

Talking about software, The Android Marshmallow based Fan Touch OS 3.0 is available in the phone. There has been no change since the VivoV5 Plus  review  . If you have not used Vivo phones, then you have to learn some changes for all the controls.

Brightness, volume slider, and quick to swipe upwards on the display to toggle the notification shade can be used only for notification.

In the phone’s settings app, there is an option to choose custom features such as motion and touch gestures. One handled mode, super screenshot and smart click. While the screen is off, several functions can be performed on holding the volume button.

When looking at a video with Smart Split, the screen can be used in half to come out of the player to make messages or use Whatsapp. The stock app includes Vivo Cloud, UC Browser, WPS Office, Amazon, Whatsapp, and a Theme Store for backup.

Vivo Y55 S Performance General UI performance is good and we did not have any problems with the phone during everyday use. The phone has easy multitasking. although, The choice of entry level processor for big apps and games in the phone was not the best.

Benchmark figures are well received from the phone. You can install and play 3D games in the phone but many big games will down the phone. 16 GB of storage is not enough and storage and music are eliminated when downloading music and video.

In Wi-55S 1080 px video plays smoothly. And the high-bit video test file also runs well. The sound and clarity coming from the speaker is not very good. And the quality of the squares is just fine for the alert. The headset that comes with the phone is not in-ear type, so do not expect too much from the quality.

Our decision is Vivo Y55 S is a great entry-level smartphone but it is not able to compete with its competitors. Radmi Note 4, Moto G4 Plus and Honor 6X are a better option in this price. Y-55S has good battery life, different micro SD card slots and 4G VoLTE support. But there is a lack of strong processor, a high-resolution display, fingerprint sensor and better camera.
