Summary:

A smaller sized microwave that has all the features of the bigger models. Ideal for smaller spaces.

Just like all of the other Oster products that I’ve tried, the  Oster OGZB1101 microwave lives up to my expectations. While other brands might get more press, more rave reviews, and generally more exposure, I’ve found that I can usually trust my Oster products to be reliable at the best of times. After all, I don’t need a complex, overly powerful microwave with settings that I will never use. I just need something that will work for more than a few years. I don’t want to have to think about the warranty. The design on the outside isn’t as fancy as some others, but I like it. It isn’t ugly with its glossy shade of black, and it has simple, clean lines that I like to see. It has no fancy bells and whistles on the inside, obviously, but it cooks pretty well.

I’ve tried more powerful ovens, but I’ve found that I’ve had to relearn all of the settings for these. On the other hand, I know what to do just when I open the box for this one. It’s cheaper than most of the other ovens that I’ve tried, and yet it seems to do a better, consistent job with the same foods that I liked to cook with the others. I haven’t had to learn any of its quirks yet, because it seems to perform well without unpredictability on most foods. Even if it doesn’t look like it’s very big on the outside, the  Oster OGZB1101 microwave has quite a lot of room on the inside. I have a small casserole dish that I like to use, and it was able to fit into this microwave quite easily. For what I paid for it, it works quite well. It hasn’t had any problems yet, so I’m expecting that this one will last.

Great Microwave For Pop Corn

On a more trivial note, it has a pop corn button that works remarkably well. I don’t have popcorn often, but this saves me the effort of figuring out how my popcorn should be popped. Sometimes I wonder why I need ten power settings, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out when I get to it. I’m sure many people will find these settings useful, even if I haven’t used most of them yet. Overall, I’d recommend this oven for anyone who is hoping for a simple oven that will do its job. It doesn’t take up too much space, and the Oster OGZB1101 microwave does not look bad on my counter top either.
